I recently got a Toshiba LT with windows 7. In my older one with XP, I have customized the windows active tool bar with cut, copy, paste, move to, copy to, folder options etc.

But in windows 7, that active tool bar customization option doesn't seem to exist. Any ideas ? Thanks.

Thank you so much mountainman. It worked beautifully. Only two issues

1. How do I make text labels appear on the icons (like "cut", "copy", "paste" etc.) and how do I rearrange them ?

2. When the computer is shutdown, you get a drop-down menu with shutdown as the default. How do I get the other shutdown options like standby, turn off & restart in the same icon ?

Thanks once again for your valuable tip. Upgrade is always a PITA.

You should be able to right click the bar, click view or customize and you should find your answer there. If not post back MM

MM - Right clicking the explorer bar only gives two options- "classic explorer bar" and "lock the toolbars". Customize toolbars option is not available.
