Just wanted to alert you!!! This morning (Jan, 10) I tried again to download W7 and it is working. I also got a product key. Now I just have to wait until it is done with the 2.5GBs - at 150Kbs that will be a while.
Windows 7 downloads work again(17 posts)
there you go. scroll down till you see 32-bit and 64-bit and pick which lanuage then click the button to right then click go. i think you need hotmail acc though. but here are direct links for any1 who wants them. NOTE: this wont give you a product key just direct dll to iso
If you go to the bottom of this link, set your language and GO, then you will get a notification to the email address that you have given (any email - not only hotmail). Once you got the email (almost instant), you click on the link there and proceed from there. Then you get a product key too. The link that cobija provided I tried yesterday 3 times and 3 times it copped out after a few hundred magabytes were downloaded. But with the procedure I provided, it works well.
PS: Forgot to say, you have to have an account with "tech net". But that is easy to set up.
Thank you so much :)
I tried downloading it using FF first, but the download button/link didn't work, so i tried IE, downloading now! =D
I logged in to tech net with my normal hotmail account, worked perfectly.
I am glad it works for you. I hope you have a faster line than me. My download is already running for 2 hours and I am only at 68%. But fortunately it does not really interfere with anything.
And from what you say it sounds like you need either a tech net account OR a hotmail account. I did not realize that they also accept a hotmail account. I have not used mine in nearly 2 years - it probably does not exist any more - LOL
Yea its a big OS, it didn't take me over 1 hour to download tho. When started the download Microsoft asked me to install some kind of Download Manager, so i installed it real quick and then the download started automatically. When i tried to download it without a download manager (with firefox, from another source) i didn't get the whole iso file, only about 20% of it.
Yea it looks like you can use your normal Windows Live account, which is great. Your probably right on that one, why register an account on a website if you can use your normal Hotmail acc. ^^
The lines are a lot faster from Europe. From my German home I downloaded SP1 in 12 minutes (the 670MB file). But there I have a fast DSL. Here in the US, your best bet is to get internet thru cable - especially if you have glassfiber. But I have a standard ATT DSL. The good part is that I pay only $9.95 per month (on top of the telephone line).
Here is link.

Will ask for your MS E-mail account in your MS Profile.
I did (NOT) use my Real Password for (any) E-mail accounts. Made one up.
Download Manager will load in and begin Downloading.
During Screen flipping; one may get several Product Keys.
Copy / Print (ALL).
Connections or limited to (4) and site is throttled.
Will take appoximately (2) hours per download.
Must be a MS "thing" with other countries.
Remember, I had a DVD HW failure back in Fall ??
Now have to purchase a new DVD burner.
Have been using old "spare parts" CDROM burners to make do, but of course these downloads are huge.
Not sure why site "flips" give multiple Product Keys.
Assume all will work on their respective O/Ses.
Will go to site in a few minutes and start downloading again.
Have got (2) downloads of 32Bit and 64Bit plus (4) Product Keys for Each O/S.
