My Question is that I am currently running a limited time product key for my Windows 7on a partition of HD. When I decide to purchase a copy and install it on the primary HD If I restore that version with the backup image will the old or new product key be the one that is present? Also would this be an effective way to have all of the programs that I currently have running in the trial transfered to the main OS or would a complete reinstall be in order?

DoyleG, hello. Where did this "limited time product key" come from? The type of this key is important. It would probably have to be a Retail key for the RTM version of Windows 7, in order to be able to switch to a new key without reinstalling.
