I have a Hp Pavillion Dv6000 that i have just upgraded to to windows 7 64 bit. The audio is the only thing that wont work and i am having trouble finding an audio driver. Is there any way that you can help or give advice to fix this issue?

have you tried the vista 64 bit driver, sometimes they work on 7, according to HP driver site there are no drivers for win7 for the Dv6000.

Make sure you run the Vista 64 bit driver installable in 'Compatibility Mode' if running it normally doesn't work.

The driver you need is the Conexant HD Audio as shown HERE

However this was meant for XP and the latest driver seems to be driver 4.8.00 for Vista HERE ,but there is no Win 7 driver.

Hopefully, either driver will work -try the Vista first.

Otherwise you will have to try to run the audio in compatibility mode.

Whichever you choose,be sure to install Microsoft UUA driver shown in the HP list-otherwise audio wont work in any case.
