I will install Windows 7 on three laptops/netbooks which have used Vista / XP while all use the data stored in an (older) PC which will continue to operate under Windows XP. The network uses a combination of Ethernet and WLAN. The data is stored on a separate drive on the PC using two hard disks with back-up thanks to RAID. This arrangement has worked very successfully.
Is there anything I need to do when installing Windows 7 and configuring the network anew to ensure that access to the data continues as before and the user-friendliness for the laptop users remains as before .... OR IMPROVES .... when installing Windows 7 and taking advantage of its new features?
I have the book Windows 7 InsideOut but can't find a section which deals with this specifically.
