I need help with this problem. yesterday I upgraded my vista to 8 pro and now the flash player is not working and want to restore the system back to vista, but when I put in the recovery dvd it does not play and so wanted to know if there is another way to restore the system back to vista. Yes, from the recovery partition. If you tell me the make of yor PC, I might have the procedure to restore from the recovery partition - it is different for each make.

However, You do realize that that would be an install, not a "downgrade" and you would lose all your data. If the data is important you might want to try saving it first.
