(Solved) - window problem
(15 posts)Jack, if it's the taskbar, you can drag-and-drop it to the bottom, the right, the top, or the left of the display. Sounds like maybe your is on the right. Note that you can only drag it when it's not locked. So drag it back to the bottom, or wherever you want it. Then right-click on it and check "Lock the Taskbar" so it won't go a-wandering again.
Right click on your task bar, make sure there is no tick mark against "Lock the taskbar" (if needed click on it to unlock your taskbar). You can now see some dots kind of thing appearing (sorry for being vague!). Now move your mouse pointer on top of it (the pointer gets changed to a double ended arrow) and then drag it to the left while pressing and holding down the left mouse button. That should do it. And remember to lock your taskbar after that!
Ohhh, I see. Your taskbar buttons are all crowded together on the far right side of the taskbar when there is plenty of empty taskbar space in the middle. Why didn't you say so?
Right-click on the taskbar and undo the check mark on "Lock the taskbar". Now, some resizing handles will show up to the left of each *toolbar* open on the taskbar. There may be an extra toolbar activated that you are not using, so verify that the taskbar menu -> Toolbars submenu has only the selections you want. Then grab the resize handle next to the taskbar buttons and drag it back to the left over by the quick launch toolbar. This will provide more space for the taskbar buttons. Then Lock the taskbar again from it's menu so it doesn't get messed up again.
