window previews (thumbnails)

can any 1 plz let me kno how to get the thumbnails 2 show up when i put the mouse cursor over them in the TB im just gettin the description

i have already tried all the usuall things i also have premium not basic this is a real pain in my ar** plz help idiots guide plz

I am not quite sure I follow. As far as I know, in any version of Windows you cannot get thumbnails by hovering over it with the mouse, you have to actively click it.

I think he means the taskbar previews. I don't know if you can turn those on and off.. I can't find an option for it. Are you running vista glass?

The option to turn the thumbnails on or off is in Start>Properties>Taskbar

sorry i do mean the taskbar previews it only gives the description iv tried everything nowt seems to work "HELP"
even my vista glass hass turned its self off and when i try 2 turn windows Aero on its automatically goes back 2 basic

Well here's the problem. You can only get the previews if you have the Glass style working. If it changed to basic style without you doing anything, then there is a program that you're running that is incompatible with Glass and is making it automatically switch to basic style. Until you figure out what program it is, you're stuck. Go through your programs you have running in the background and close each one until Glass appears again.

Quite right taybay. I've only come across this problem when using various media players. Changing their video outputs to ,say, openGL or directx usually does the trick. Just closing the program doesn't always bring aero back
