(Solved) - win7 profess w/older XP system

Advice please? Is it worthwhile to upgrade an XP, Pent 4,3.2Ghz, 2G memory Sony with Win7 Professional 32bit? I know this is a judgment call but I want to edit some photos and movies so need input. 2G is the max memory the motherboard will take.

The CPU is OK. Might even be an old Dual Core that runs hot and fast............... :) :)
2 Gig is a bit "shy" on memory. Would check MB spec against memory upgrades available now.

Thanks, Rick. Max memory is 2G per Sony and motherboard configuration, so I am stuck unless there is a workaround.

Well, load in XP3, configure to run in Pure Classic Mode plus Built in Administrator Mode and use Plenty of Registry Tricks.

The old machine should still perform like "lighting".

Configure it right and it will make Win7 seem like a slow turtle. (lol) (lol)
