Hello. i am going to be installing windows 7 tomorrow, and i had a question before installing. i was watching a video on how to install it properly, and it said to go into your bios on boot, and change the boot order to CD instead of HD. My question is should i do that, or simply go into setup and boot from DVD?

hope this makes sense.

Thanks!

CD or DVD is the same thing as far as the boot order is concerned - they are both read from the "optical reader". If you want the system to boot from them, you have to change the boot order (very often the optical reader is set first in the boot order anyhow). For installing from CD or DVD, you can just throw it in, open it and then open the installation .exe.

setup meaning hitting F10 or whatever and it says what you want to boot from.

anyway, found out the way i bought it, you just dll it, and it comes with 3 files, setup1.box, setup2.box, and an exe

wish me luck!

fast edit: after clicking the exe, it says "unloading the box". it basically made a folder with all the images inside the disc. they said for 13 i can get a disc..i just saved it with my geeky knowledge =]
