I found this piece of spyware on someone's computer when fixing it. Ad-Aware said it was a keylogger and transmitted data to a remote server. I use Ad-Aware to remove this infection.

Does anyone know if there is a way to tell what information (if any) was sent via this spyware?

Are we talking e-mail passwords? Banking passwords? etc?

Changing passwords is not really a problem. Bank account numbers and credit card numbers involve time, but can be changed as well. SSN numbers however cannot be changed.

Any information anyone has on this would help greatly.

Looks like THIS is the one.

Also go to Threat Analysis -Threat Expert search.

A real quandary-cant see any way to determine what info. if any was transferred.

Yeah... all I have been able to find is an explanation of what it is.

If I knew when the threat was created and when the system was infected that would be helpful too. (Though I already cleaned it with Ad-Aware, so unless Ad-Aware keeps a record of when the system became infected, I don't know how to check that.)

Presumably a few minutes or less would be long enough to transfer-who knows- only the writers of the threat
