Win 8 Preview help

Hi all

Ok, my problem is... I upgraded my laptop too a "Windows 8 Release Preview, Evaluation copy" From a Win 7 version.

I have a message that comes up every so often to say about buying a full copy, and if i don't my pc will turn off every 2 hours once it has ran out.
I don't want to buy a windows 8, as its not for me and i dont like the features to it, and would like to go back to Wins 7 which was on my laptop originally when i bought it.

I tried making a system restore disc before i changed to 8, but it would work.

But, because it is a evaluation copy on 8, will the win 7 be on my laptop still somewhere?? Saves me having to buy a new licence and what-not.

Hi

The make and model of your computer would help us.

Some have a hidden partition with windows 7 original installed; ready to be put back to factory settings

If you want to do a fresh install you can download the ISO from below, there should be a license key for Windows 7 on the base of the laptop.

You probably still have the Windows 7 recovery partition (check in Disk Management). If you tell us the make of your PC, we may have the exact procedure how to reinstall.

For future reference always create an image of the Hard Drive before installing a different OS, saves you soooooo much hassle! :)

My make and model of my laptop is a Packard Bell, EasyNote TK, which came with Win 7 Home premium OA... does that help?

Vistamike, that last post i made from that link was for my tower pc, which i have now sorted.

If i download my ISO from
and put in my product key under the base of my laptop, i wont have a 30 day trial, and it would be sorted, and back to normal as if it was back to factory defaults and so on..??

Download the ISO from here http://www.mydigitallife.info/.....tal-river/ and select the correct version of OS for the laptop and use the license key on the base of the laptop, all should be OK, you will need to download the drivers from here http://www.packardbell.co.uk/p.....t/download if you haven't got the driver CD, just enter the serial number, that should be at the base of the laptop as well!
