I am purchasing a new computer in the next several days. Where can I get a dvd or a download so I can transfer my stuff from my Win 7 computer?

Just use the Windows Easy Transfer program that will be on your new Windows 8 computer. This will transfer all your data and settings. You will have to install any programs from the original install media no matter what you do.

I was able to do the transfer easily by having both computers on the network although you can do it via external media as well.
