(Solved) - Win 7 Icons disapear from desktop

Starting today, when I copy/move a file on the desktop no icons is shown, but the file is there and is shown in the explorer directory. System restore does not works and send a message "failed to extract windows\system32\drivers\sfi.dat". Any suggestion?

Right click on your desktop> personalise> display settings> change settings where it says medium 16bit to 32bit or whatever the setting is in 7 click apply ok then close the window then do the same again doing reversing what you done, this usually resets your desktop icons !

Also if you do the Quick launch tweak and add quick launch those Icons will disappear also. sometimes rebooting brings them back sometimes it doesn't

I got it! it's just right click on desktop chose from the context menu: View - show desktop icon.
