win 7 goes to the password page every two minutes!! WHY??

Hi all;

I just got a new laptop last week and it has win 7 installed. I noticed that when I sign in ( password) I start working on a letter, I go get a coffee or take a break, it goes back to black page and to the password loggin paqge again. I have to type my password again. this happens around every 2 minutes ( when Idle). Its annoying and I would like to stop the loggin every two minutes.

Any suggestions?

@bowdon, welcome to HTG.

Right click on the Desktop > Personalize > Screen Saver > Uncheck the option "On resume, display logon screen" > Apply > OK.

You can also set the display time-out to "never" (in Power Options).
