is it right that keeping a lot of shortcut icons on the desktop is bad for the computer
i tried keeping shortcuts in favorites but when i ask that a shortcut be sent to favorites, i dont find it there where does it go?

I don't see any harm in having shortcuts on the desktop. Just tried the shortcut send to favorites on my W7 machine. That is where it went.

Shortcuts anywhere, will slow down your bootup time. But we are not talking a long time (milliseconds) (unless a shortcut is bad).
