Hi all, can you tell me how to delete an administrator account from my laptop? my son created one for himself which i dont want. i have since password protected it but cant seem to delete it, the option to delete does not appear on the add delete screen.
I am a total novice so all advice is welcome. :-)

Do this.

Reboot.
Log on as Built-in Administrator.
Go to: Control Panel > User Accounts
Delete files and user profile of bad account.
Empty waste basket.
Defrag drive.
Close All.
Reboot.
Log on to your regular account.

Another trick to just DISABLE the account.
Quick way to get there using [ netplwiz ] object->Advanced Tab-> Advaned Button->Users Folder->Right Click->Properties of bad account->Disable
