My question is in regard to win xp in virtual machine. I have Microsoft security essentials, now installed on both win 7 64bit and xp in virtual mode. Is there a chance that the two versions, can share the same detection data base? I was looking through MS site, but having difficulty with the right answer. I am not even sure if I really require the xp mode anti virus. Just trying to save resources on my ISP (downloading detection data twice) as well as drive space, I realize it's a small amount of space to worry about.
