I have a Desktop Win 7 system and trying to share a printer with an XP laptop my wife uses for business. It's part of a domain. It looks like it's either or: it can't be a part of a domain and a workgroup. Is this correct?

Is there a way she can keep her work domain and be a part of a home network? The idea is to not have to swap printer cable when each of us wants to print, but isf she had to switch/re-connect to a home workgroup, that would be the same mount of hassle.
