A strange one this. The green bars icon for a wifi net connection no longer shows. I have a connection but all that shows in the taskbar is the icon for a cable connection (with a red cross). I have done restarts and I have shut down my router but neither has any effect.

Bright ideas, anyone?

Andaco46, hi.

One fix you might try is going to the 'network and sharing centre' select 'change adapter settings'. click on each connection and then uninstal (wireless and lan)

Reboot pc, (drivers will automatically reinstall) now what do you see? Back to normal?
