why does my gf have my texts re-routed, appearing from a different number?

I saw on her phone that my texts arrive twice. once from my number, a second time from a number I don't recognize. She is very into gps'ing, reverse phone lookup, etc. So what is she doing? What is happening to my text that it is re-routed?
