I am using XP. I scanned it and it shows to be clean.
Have you checked the power settings?
Are you running on battery power?
Are you using a USB keyboard and mouse? You may need to go into your bios and make sure that USB Legacy is enabled.
If that doesn't do it, get either a ps2 keyboard or mouse. Some systems have problems detecting anything else.
Some times you power setting is set so it will turn off so often, you might want to set it so it will never turn off.
