It's tiring to have to go to 'My Profile' and check all Recent Replies every now and then to check if anyone has replied to any posts you've participated in.
Sometimes, you'll even miss it if someone's replied after a day.
It'd be nice if this forum could've had a notifications button or some sort, like facebook so that it's much easier to keep in touch.

Add to favourites and set up a rss feed.

What is RSS feed and how do I set it up.
Also, what does adding to favourites do?

If you add a thread to your favourites you can click the rss feed link, top right. See here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rss
I don't use rss feeds so won't attempt to explain how to set up. Someone will help you out with that.
This too. http://www.howtogeek.com/howto.....um-thread/

Just check 'topics I've participated in' and they're all there :)
(I just created a link to that on my startpage - now they're all just one click away :D)

Email notifications are convenient for the occasional poster. But if you are on a lot of forums and/or you make many posts, they can really flood your in-basket. I have stopped using them even in places where they are available. I suggest you follow Sarah's advice.

Only the topics in BLUE are those which have new replies. That's the case for me (and I included it in my HTG Forums tutorial: http://www.vimeo.com/14963417 )

That makes it so much easier knowing that topics highlighted in blue are topics which have unread replies. Thanks.
