I have a T42 thinkpad from IBM and Lenovo. I want to know what series I have. I do not know how, so please help.
It should be on a label on the bottom of the computer.
Belarc advisor will give you this information
IBM 2374A63 ThinkPad T42
System Serial Number: L354BDD
How do I interpret that?
Don't know if you tried vistamike solution. Try here.
It is an IBM ThinkPad T42 2374-A63
Machine type: 2374
Look it up at Lenovo, here.
SO with that being said, it is a T42a?
It is exactly what I said it was. What is it exactly that you are trying to do?
Alright, so T42a is my model, thank you.
Actually your model is A63 of a T series, sub-series 42 Thinkpad.
