This one was my alltime favorite - a 1954 BMW507. I never owned one. This one shown was owned by Elvis Presley (they say). In American cars my all time favorite was the 1958 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz Convertible. Of the cars I owned it was a 1962 Oldsmobile Dynamic88 convertible (white with red interior and red top) and a 1979 Citroen CX Prestige (because of the unbelievable ride).

And the Caddi

And a picture of the Citroen

@Lighthouse, the Morgan 3wheeler must have been fun to drive. I remember that there were a few British makes that made 3wheelers.
@ Scott, this current BMW is a bore compared to the 507 which had a 3.2 litre V8 and 160HP (in the early 50's). And how come your favorite Vette does not have the split rear window - those are the rare ones.

Thanks Lighthouse. Looked like they were trying to wreck the engine. But they were Bavarians (as far as I could tell by the dialect). Those guys are rough. I also gathered that the engine had 58 horsepower.

Not sure what model it was, but I like the one in the first pic here.

I actually like the second one. The story (history) on the side is interesting too. The Morgan sports cars had no suspension all the way into the 60's but had a wooden frame instead that would flex.

Here is a more modern 3-wheeler. And with a Guzzi Daytona engine up front, they shift.

Aleeve, the TTs we had were much more fun. With Quattro and twin turbos, it made for a great four season car, especially in winter. Great on the Vermont mountain rallys too. the Z4 looks nice but I really miss the 2 Audis we had.

I did not even know they sold the Opel GT in the US. I think it was the poor mans Vette.

The VW bugs were great - you could do anything with them. I owned a 1952 (the one with the pretzel window in the rear) and a 1963 model.
