One way is to change your security (WEP, WAP) key on one of your computers and see if you can login to your network

If you are using WEP or WAP you are not very secure. WPA2 with a non-dictionary password and numbers is the way to go. Make sure you put a good password for the access to router settings as well. To make a non-dictionary password pick a word and write it backwards to help you remember it.
