Hello,
I bought a Western Digital 7200 Rpm External HDD Today, thinking it whould have a better writing speed then my older External HDD, (i was planning on recording gameplay videos for stuff like youtube etc) But with this new HDD i only get around 20mb/s which is about the same as my old HDD,
Is there any way to speed my new one up ??

Thanks, Zerozapper

Sounds about right for an external on USB2. I get a max of 19MB.

You can connect any disk you want to your USB ports, however your max transfer speed is determined by what USB version you have on your motherboard.
