awhile ago a senior member posted a link to a website that scans your comp for like up-0dates or holes in os ....... does anyone here remember that link ? im thinking rick posted it not quite sure though.

close but not what im looking for. see adobe flash player is giving me a rash o s#%$t so im trying to get it to load ect. any idea's to see what needs updates n ones system ?

Flash in Firefox(if that's your browser) has been a hemorrhoid, in a scab, in a festering boil in the ass of late.
See if right clicking on an unplayed video brings up Flash Settings and disabling Hardware Acceleration helps.

that's the one gs thanks !!!!!!!!!! but on a lighter note i figured out what happened to my parents comp's, somehow both the laptop & tower "manage add ons, adobe flash players became disabled" so i dont know if this may be a bug in the adobe update or what happened but we are up and running & everbody is happy ! THANKS AGAIN !

Glad it's sorted, but remember you can always turn off Adobes ability to update and automatically 'Play' content via the Control Panel --- Flash Player --- Advanced tab/Playback tab.
