This has been in the news lately, so it may be stale. But if you haven't seen it, then take a look at this and this.

Seems as though some . . . person . . . has found the passwords to hotmail/gmail/yahoo accounts and POSTED them publicly.

So, it would probably be prudent to change your passwords for these accounts.

Since it's been in the news, I expect the servers for these services may be getting overloaded with people rushing to change their passwords.

And, that . . . person . . . is causing a lot of headaches because changing your password will also require you to change your settings in your email client (if you have the IMAP to POP set like in gmail and hotmail) and your IM.
