Hi guys, the time has come for me to get another hard drive. I'm looking for large storage that's portable. So far I have 2 choices, The Iomega eGo 500GB Portable HD or the Western Digital My Passport Essential 500GB Portable HD...
I've Google'd some reviews and both seem to have their ups and downs.. Does anyone here own one of these or could recommend something similar of good quality?
Here's the best deal I could find on a hard drive I bought one yesterday! :) It works great, has good reviews, etc. $100 for 1TB Western Digital not bad. Maybe you wanted something (physically) smaller though? I *always* goto SlickDeals when I need to buy something now, that's where I found this.

Snugglez, that would by my choice if I was buying a dedicated external hard drive. However, I always prefer to buy internal hard disks and mount them in an enclosure device - such as this one:

I actually have that enclosure, and vouch for its quality. Mounting the hard drive is very easy, and its usually cheaper to get hard disks this way. Definitely worth your consideration.
LH are you cutting and pasting or clicking the hyperlink? I guess our forum automatically abbreviates long links so if you're cutting and pasting maybe that's the problem. At least that's the only way I was able get to an incorrect destination. Even clicking the link you posted gets me to the drive...bizarre. You must be surfing in plain text only? :P You *can* also get their by surfing around the staples site as thebonafortuna suggested.
