I would like to know something LH. EDIT BY MOD do not advertise pirated software. I don't update anything at all and I have also turned the automatic update off. Do I really need to install those update.
One of my bro said that turning the auto update feature on eventually makes one's PC slow. And I have also experienced this problem. Is it true??
No, IMHO the updates in themselves do not slow down the machine. One has to experience a clean install of XP, and let all the updates come through, rebooting and defragging as necessary, to see that the machine isn't any slower than it was new. It's all the added programs, shortcuts, & temp files that do it. I also believe that games leave alot of flotsam around, that need to be cleaned up by the usual methods, or Ccleaner, or something.
If the edit means that one uses pirated software, then that is a great source of malware and general junk, further debilitatiing one's machine.
