vmware starting problem

when i start vmware in ubuntu 12.04
it shows message to install kernel module updater
but virtual network device doesnt work and error appears..as
"unable to start services"

plz help me

i downloaded from the vmware website for linux..it installd with no error..but doesnt start

Came across another forum that advised this link , guy had the same issue a week ago & this solved it for him . Hope this helps

i tried what they told..bt it didnt helped..
