(Solved) - vista to linux

i need to mount boot or whatever its called a linux usb drive with vista so i can get to files. i am lost as a ball in high weeds on this so any help would be appreciated

Easiest way to do things: download Linux Mint 13 ISO, I like the Mate version and use 32 bit so it works on any machine. Down load the first one listed at
http://www.linuxmint.com/download.php

Put it onto a USB pen drive so it's bootable. Use the Universal USB installer for this from
http://www.pendrivelinux.com/u.....-as-1-2-3/

Be sure your machine will boot from USB, and restart with the pen drive plugged in and you will have access to your hard drive.
