vista or xp on same pc - power wise ?

hi guys,a query please,i have just had a amd phenom 9550 quad core,2 gig memory with
vista home premium on it,i was wondering what the difference in speed is
if it had xp on it instead,it has 200 gig hard drive,thank you

i think that you would notice maybe a little speed diff. but not too much but it's hard to say though it would depend on what you will have running on it i suppose for general use like browsing the net you will not see too big of a diff. but running others you probs. will

thanks jack,i was thinking about buying a windows xp disk and installing to see what the difference is for overhaul speed ???????????????

XP will probably run slower. Would be my guess because it may not make much use of the quad. But when you made the experiment, let us know. Would be interesting to have the data.

I am fine, but you should not be spreading false performance data. What makes you think XP would be faster?
