I am frequently importing MP4 files into WMM - this is not a WMM standard codec but I have added this codec. Unfortunately I have to always resort to switching the "Pictures and Video files" default to "All Files" - and that for importing every little clip for my movie. How do I set "All Files" as default?

Is there nobody that has any idea? Without "All Files" as default, the operation is really cumbersome.

Sorry, but I have no idea how to change the behavior of a file dialog in the way that you ask.

However, since you can multi-select files in that dialog I would go to the folder with the .mp4 files and import them all at once. If there are other file types mixed in that folder, then sort by type first. Also, you can drag-and-drop to the WMM window. Hope that helps.

Thanks ScottW, the Multiselect works. That is a big help. I should have thought of that myself - why didn't I? Fortunately you always seem to know a way out.
