Yesterday I had enabled the hidden Admin account in Windows vista by using the command net user administrator /active:yes, this was done to change the administrator user name.
Same way I tried with the guest account(as an experiment)net user guest /active:yes but after I restarted the computer the Guest account showed up as Password protected along with the existing admin user accounts and the default administrator. There is only one option in guest account either to turn on or off, but there is no way to check for the password. I am not able to login to the Guest account even with blank password. I tried all the possible steps including System restore(which is not working for some reason) Please help to get rid of the password protection.

You should be able to go into the user accounts and change the password, right?

Hi, I was able to get rid of the guest account password by using the command
Windows Key + R and then control userpasswords2 >>> Reset Password.
