Vista-'Appearance Settings' defaults to 'Win Classic'

Every time I startup my pc, I have the 'Appearance Settings' go to a default of 'Windows Classic' view instead of the 'Windows Aero' I Setup and saved before exiting. What can be done?

Perhaps your computer does not support Aero?
