I purchased cakewalk music creator 5 and am trying to install it on my hp pavillion with vista 32 bit as my o.s. The install goes through all the steps and starts installing but gets about 80% installed and comes up with a message saying - windows/32/error71.dll , file cannot be replaced, deletefilefailed- code 5. I have contacted roland and hp but neither of them seem to know why its doing this, hp has given me full admin access and is now suggesting rebooting the computer but they seem to be stumped. I have been emailing and calling these companies for about 2 months and am getting pretty frustrated.... can anyone help me with this problem or has anyone had the same problems? Any feedback would be appreciated. thanks

Code 5 is a access denied code. And your dll error code doesn't seem complete could it be Msvcr71.dll ? If so read this link

What you might try is to run CCleaner to remove a bad registry keys. Be sure to create a back up when asked before you complete the CCleaner repair.
