Using Sun Microsystems VirtualBox on an iMac 7 with slim aluminium keyboard to run Windows XP - trying to install XP, final install screen instructs to Press F8 to accept EUA, or ESC to quit.

F8 on keyboard obviously won't work....what will...?

any help gratefully accepted

Do you have the keyboard at http://www.apple.com/keyboard/ ? If so there are appears to be an F8 key on there. Is the key not working?

thanks jd - yes that's the one..and yes they work - in mac mode

the F7 thru F12 keys on the al keyboard are mapped to audio/volume controls eg F8 is Play/Pause...

I'm throwing this in as a guess, one that you've probably already tried, but does Function+F8 work? I don't have that keyboard so I really have no idea..

mmmm you will probably suspect that i'm a complete prat - but yes I've just 'found' the 'fn' key and hey presto - isn't it wonderful how things work when you do them properly..
