First off, I understand the method of setting up the computers camera to view over skype at another location. My question has to do with an external DVR that is feeding video into the computer. Is there a program or process to view a video source like a surveillance dvr through the internet. I could rig it up to use Skype and point the webcam at the screen but I would like for the video to be sent internally instead of through webcam video. Maybe some kind of screen capture service or something. Thanks

There are many screen capture programs available. I use WMCapture for that. Just be aware that video capture generates very large files. Make a low setting - e.g. 10 FPS and 300 Kbps. And uncheck the audio if you don't need that. That ought to suffice for the purpose.
