(Solved) - Video lagging problem in all video player.

Hi,
I have Dell studio 15 laptop. Since i had changed my laptop HDD, even small size video also lagging while playing on my laptop. Currently i tried on Windows media player, Windows classic player, VLC player. But same problem all over. Also while playing high dafination games also lags.
System configuration:
HDD : 500 GB
RAM: 4GB
Processor: Dual core 2.7 GHz
OS: Windows XP (Earlier Windows 7)
Graphics processor: 512 Mb Radion
Please help me out from this problem.

thanks for your prompt response.
But why this problem occurs even i have formatted my laptop fully because of thinking as this will be of virus issue.
but not solved.
Please help me as for games also my laptop is not perfoming well

I don't know. I had a similar problem on my Dell laptop recently. It is lower spec than yours. I finally got it to work, but can't play HD (720p upwards)
That does not surprise me, considering it's 2GB RAM, and 1.6 MHz cpu.

And install the latest version of VLC,

Since you downgraded your OS from W7 to XP, you might need to install the latest DirectX Runtime from Microsoft. Also, make sure you have the latest drivers for your graphics processor (download them from Dell site, if available).

i did because my system was not performing very well on windows7, so i thought it will perform on windows XP. But not succeded.
I will try it by downloading the latest drivers for my graphics card.
