Video As Background
(17 posts)Should work with VLC Player, I read a topic about it somewhere - I'll post the link when I find it - but I tried that myself and couldn't get it to work:(
If it does work for you I must say it is the easiest way.
Dreamscene does it, but that means you have to upgrade your Vista if you don't have Ultimate. And it is really not what it is all cracked up to be.
It's a pity Vista doesn't have the animated background option anymore that Win98 and XP had, but you can also add a nice player to the sidebar (just google for it). That works just as nicely.
Cheers,
Sarah.
i know this works... im useing it now... and it comes with other fetures aswell
Sorry it doesn't work for you, godsman.
I'm in the middle of a move myself and will be off for a couple of weeks, so I can't help you now.
But there are a lot of people here who will try to help you fix it.
I'll have a look how it all got fixed when I'm back, for I'm sure you'll solve it:)
All the best,
Sarah.
try desktop effects... im using it to play a looping vid on my desktop right now as i type... (RED vs BLUE ep. 70 :D) and it has sound...
then click the download button on the main bar up-top
make sure to download everything listed... i just put it all in one folder so if i ever feel like removing it, i can do it all in one clean sweep... but it does work pretty well... it doesnt only do videos, but it also can make slideshows, have falling snow, make your mouse set on fire, you can scribble notes on your desktop, make your wallpaper look under water, ect... and it also works for dual screens (which is great for me)
i highly recomend it
