verizon blackberry modem program crashed my usb port in xp

I tried to use blackberry 8830 as a wireless modem for my laptop. I installed verizon disk on my xp laptop. Then as soon as I insert a usb, whole system is frozen. I have to power off to get it out. I removed all verizon program, desk manager, verizon wireless manager. The usb port are still not useable. All three of them, the system will hung up as soon as usb memory is inserted. Usb printer that used to work now doesn't work as well. Thanks

OK. Try doing a System Restore. If that doesn't work - reinstall Windows XP.

I didn't know about systemrestore until yesterday that's roughly 3 weeks past. I launched systemrestore yesterday but earilest point was right after verizon wireless program installation. I couldn't get to the point before it. I purchased xp laptop 10/06. I don't have xp disk and can't reinstall it. Thanks
