Using Hotmail with Outlook

Hi,
I have a quick question, I have downloaded the outlook connector and want to set up my Hotmail (which is paid) account to it. Before I do this I need to know will it still leave a copy of my emails on the Hotmail server or will it download all emails to Outlook leaving the Hotmail server empty?

It leaves a copy on the hotmail server.
