use Ubuntu live cd to back up....
According to the above article, when i wanted to open the WIN7 drive, i got a message " Unable to mount , Time out was reached"
Please let me help because i have got a different one!

Try backing up your files with this:

You can use any Windows Vista or Windows 7 install DVD or recovery disk.

Also, it could be interesting to check the state of your drive. From the Ubuntu Live CD follow these instructions:
