(Solved) - Use host file to redirect Win7

Hello! I am trying to use the host file in Windows 7 to redirect specific URLs and have not been having any luck. I'm not even 100% sure that this is possible. This is what I am trying to do:

I want to redirect some.site.com/something/somethingelse to 127.0.0.1
I still need to have access to some.site.com
I am able to redirect some.site.com/something/somethingelse by using some.site.com 127.0.0.1, but again I still need access to some.site.com.

Does anyone know if this will work? Or maybe if there is a better way to do this? Any feedback will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

I think you can only block whole websites as you can only use the IP to describe it which doesn't subdivide to it's component pages...could be wrong though.

I tried in Restricted Sites of IE9 but that only works for the whole website and not just a section as well.
