I have been using Skype for several years in fact not long after it was first introduced. It has worked fairly well and is working quite well on my windows 7 OS.
I utilize a Dlink DPH-50U adapter and hook my house phone system to it so that I can make and receive both skype and Skype out calls anywhere in the house.

This system worked fine with XP but with windows 7 a small but annoying snag has cropped up.

The Skype sound settings keep reverting from voip (capture) for the mike and voip (playback) for the sound, to front mike and speakers. This makes it impossible to hear the conversation over the phone unless I re-set the sound settings in Skype each time I re-boot.

You can see in the picture below the different settings.

This did not happen while using XP so I put it down to a fault with the operating system (windows 7)

If anyone has any ideas I would be interested in hearing them.

Unfortunatly, i have the same problem. I heard that the problem come from skype and in order to keep the sound settings, I should install skype 3.8, sadly, this is not a reasonable option for me...
