I have been trying to connect things to my usb port with no success. Every time I connect something (I pod Nano, psp, kodak camera) the computer tries to find a "device driver." After looking for a few minutes, it says it cannot find a device driver or that it has "failed to find a device driver." I have tried numerous times to repair the kodak easyshare software, download updates, I even uninstalled it and installed it again but with no success. Any suggestions what the problem may be? Thanks.

Don't know much about computers, so don't mind me asking, what is SP1 and how do I find out if I have it or not?

Press Vista Start > right click on where it says "Computer" (in the right pane) > click on "Properties > now you should see the info below on top of the page. SP1 stands for Service Pack 1.

Try the following with your camera: After it is done with this device driver mimic, start the PAINT program (you find that in All Programs > Accessories). Click on "File" (top left) and then click on "From Scanner or Camera". That should give you the possibility to read from your camera after you selected it in the then following window. If "From Scanner or Camera" is greyed out, come back and we'll look further.
