Hi all
I have a 8gb pen drive and it wont format.
The other day i was transfering about 2gb of files to this pen drive and for some known reason it stopped transfering, now i can't do anything with it.
It wont format, delete the files or add anything to it.
I had all my personal data on it and i can't even open them.

I have tried it with my XP 32bit, Vista 32bit and Windows 7 64 bit, its the same for all

It is a small black one, the make is unknown as it was purchased from Hong Kong over a year ago

Any ideas.

Bry

Hi Bry. Have you tried the Hp USB format tool?

If you have the time you could download an Ubuntu live CD, boot from it and see if your Data is accessible from there.

Thanks for the reply
I tried the Hp USB format tool and it say "Device media is writ-protected, The pen drive dont have a switch on it to write-protect it.

Because it say it's write-protected then i cant do anything with it.
I have Ubuntu i could try that.

Thanks
