Sorry if this has been covered already but i have been searching everywhere for some help.
I have a USB dongle that i receive my internet usage from.. i want to be able to turn my laptop into a wifi hotspot so i could then purchase an Ipad and use the wifi on the ipad to pick up a signal from my laptop and usb data usage.... Is this possible? Any help and advice would be great thanks.

As far as I know, your 'hosting' system has to be connected with the ethernet cable. But then it is easy and should also work with a dongle. Here are a couple of tutorials:
